Volunteers will be expected to commit to regular shifts and attend an induction session prior to their first shift. There will be opportunities to either attend a weekday evening or weekend day induction.

Report to FOH (front of house) ManagerLiaise with Box Office staff, Producer, Associate Producer & Project Coordinator
Ensure patrons have valid tickets
Take tickets at the door to the venue
General meet and greet to patrons
Supervise the queue (eg. ensuring patrons are not crossing pathways etc)
General minor security (eg. ensuring patrons are not going through artists entry etc)
General tidying
Assist disabled and elderly patrons into the venue
In the event of fire or emergency, assist with safe evacuation of patrons
Hand out and collect patron surveys
Hand out programme schedules
Provide information to patrons about stages, artists and events
Provide information to patrons about other Brisbane Festival events
Hand out and collect patron surveys
Ensure artists are ready for sound checks and performance times
Assist artists with requirements and requests
Liaise between artists and stage management/producers
Assist stall holders with set up
Monitor and assist stall holders throughout the day
Assist stall holders with bump out and site clean up
Provide general information to stall holders
Liaise between project coordinator and stalls
Runner duties
Monitor entrance for artists and festival personnel Brisbane Festival passes
Provide information to patrons about parking
Provide information to artists and festival personnel
Supervise small car parks
Assist with the set up of workshop
Work with children (need to have a current Blue Card)
Assist workshop leaders
Provide information to patrons about workshops and general event
Liaise between workshop facilitators and event personnel
Assist with workshop changeovers and clean up
Assist with clean up after workshops
