Ever dreamt of being a part of a flashmob or something like it?

Brisbane Powerhouse are looking for people to take part in a special event as part of World Theatre Festival 2012.

If you’d like to participate, join them at any one or all of the following times:
Saturday 18th February at 4.25pm and 6.25pm; or
Sunday 19th February at 2.25pm, 4.25pm and 6.25pm.

Turn up out the front of Brisbane Powerhouse and look out for a sign which says ‘it's here’ and await instructions. No rehearsals necessary.

Critical Mass

Critical Mass is a blogging project that encourages arts experts, audiences, critics and the general public to participate in critical writing and discussions about arts and cultural events in Queensland. Critical Mass uses social- and new- media tools such as a blog, Twitter, and Facebook to foster rich cultural conversations about the arts.

The project asks: What happens when we ask a broad range of people to sit in the critic’s seat, curate their own online discussions and use major events such as festivals to engage a wide audience with their critical writing?

Contributors to Queensland’s cultural scene have been invited to participate in the project and write about their experiences and perceptions of productions in and around the state’s arts and cultural events. Like most arts critics, the Critical Mass contributors receive complimentary tickets to ticketed productions and access to some rehearsals and workshops; however, the views expressed by the participants represent their own personal views and are not the views of the Queensland Government or the festival.

Critical Mass is a partnership between Queensland Music Festival, Brisbane Festival, and Arts Queensland.
