The full 2012 program will be announced in July. Until then, here are some important dates for your diary:

SANTOS CITY OF LIGHTS
Brisbane Festival will open on Saturday 8 September with the laser and light show Santos City of Lights, which promises to be more spectacular than ever and will run nightly for three weeks of the Festival thanks to the support of Events Queensland and Santos.

SUNSUPER RIVERFIRE
The iconic Sunsuper Riverfire closes Brisbane Festival with a bang on Saturday 29 September. The closing celebrations will kick off at 1pm with free entertainment including 104.5 Triple M's live broadcast. For those celebrating at home, Channel Nine's exclusive live coverage of Sunsuper Riverfire will start from 6.30pm.

VIENNA BOYS’ CHOIR - ON SALE NOW
We are delighted to announce Vienna Boys' Choir will feature as part of Brisbane Festival at QPAC on Sunday 9 September.

Hear twenty-four of the world's most beautiful voices when Brisbane Festival and Andrew McKinnon present Vienna Boys’ Choir on their 2012 Australian and New Zealand tour. Preview the Choir here.





Tender Napalm - ON SALE NOW

KUSS QUARTET & NAOKO SHIMIZU - ON SALE NOW
Making their Australian debut, Berlin’s most fascinating quartet meets this internationally acclaimed Japanese violist to showcase some the world’s most beautiful string quintets.

The Kuss Quartet is a regular at Carnegie and Wigmore Halls and Shimizu was the first female Principal Viola of the Berlin Philharmonic. From classics by Mozart and Brahms to a world premiere by Kerry, these five musicians perform the landmarks of the string quintet at the highest possible level.
