Brisbane River will be closed nightly for safety in the South Brisbane Reach between the Victoria and Goodwill Bridges. The closure will be for 12 minute periods at 7pm and 8.30pm, Sunday to Thursday and 7pm, 8pm and 9pm, Friday and Saturday evenings. Queensland Water Police will close and monitor the River nightly and minor delays may be experienced on the Citycat and Cityferry services during performance times.

There will be extensive road closures throughout the City, South Bank, West End, Kangaroo Point and Fortitude Valley areas.
Captain Cook Bridge: open all times
Goodwill Bridge: 5pm - 7.30pm
Closed, no access.
Kurilpa Bridge: 5pm - 7.30pm
Closed, no access.
Story Bridge: 6.20pm - 8pm
Closed to all traffic (including pedestrians). Western (city side) footpath closed from 2am on Friday 27 September to 8.30pm on Saturday 28 September. Eastern footpath closed from 6.20pm - 8pm.
Victoria Bridge: 4pm - 11pm
Traffic lanes closed and open for pedestrians from 5pm - 9.30pm. Western footpath (Museum side) closed to pedestrians from 5.30pm - 11pm. Eastern footpath (South Bank side) remains open at all times.
Clem7 Tunnel and Go Between Bridge: open all times
The toll on the Go Between Bridge will be waived between 4pm and 12 midnight. The Clem7 and Aìrportlink Tunnels will operate as normal. Tune into Triple M for the latest on all road, parking and river conditions.
Brisbane River: 5pm - 8.45pm
Closed to all traffic between Mowbray Park, East Brisbane and Cribb Street, Milton (enforcement agency vessels accepted).
CityCats and City ferry services will cease operations from 6.45pm - 7.45pm
QUT CityCat terminal will remain closed until resumption of normal services on Sunday 29 September. The Holman Street, Eagle Street, Thornton Street and the Inner City ferry services will cease operations from 6.45pm - 8.15pm.
Due to the popularity of the CityCat service it is recommended patrons travel early to avoid delays and disappointment.
Adelaide Street: 4pm -11pm
Closed between George Street and North Quay to south bound traffic (Translink buses accepted).
George Street: 7.30pm - 8.30pm
Closed to all traffic between Elizabeth Street and Burnett Lane.
North Quay: 4pm -11pm
Closed between Ann and Queen Streets. General traffic diverted into Turbot Street or onto the Riverside Expressway at Ann Street. Mecure Hotel guests accepted. North Quay bus services access to Elizabeth Street will be via Adelaide, Edward and Elizabeth Streets from 4pm - 8.30pm. Call Translink on 13 12 30 for bus stop locations.
Queens Wharf Road: 4pm - 11pm
Closed between William Street and the turnaround behind the Commissariat Stores.
William Street: 4pm - 11pm
Closed to all traffic between Queen and Elizabeth Streets (Translink buses accepted 8:30pm - 11pm).
No Access to Story Bridge: 6.20pm - 8pm
From Ann, Boundary, Brunswick, Harrison, Ivory, Martin and Gipps Streets.
Bowen Terrace: 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Closed between the Story Bridge and Bowen Street to improve safety at the popular Wilson’s Lookout.
Local streets linking Brunswick Street to Bowen Terrace: 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Closed with access open to local residents only.
Ellis Street: 4pm - 9.30pm
Remains open. Right turn only from Ellis into Leopard Street.
Local streets linking River Terrace to Main Street: 4pm - 9.30pm
Closed with access open to local residents only.
Mark Lane: 4pm - 9.30pm
Left turn only from Mark Lane into Leopard Street.
Pedestrian stairs at Kangaroo Point Cliffs Lookout: 7pm - 7.30pm
Pedestrian stairs adjacent to the Lookout and Cliffs Café linking Lower River Terrace/Service Road and River Terrace are closed.
Story Bridge Precinct
Anderson Street: 7.15pm - 8.30pm
No vehicular exit onto Holman Street.
Holman Street: all day
No standing any time -tow away zone (access allowed for residents upon proof of residency and Brisbane Jazz Club accredited vehicles).
Main Street (bridge side):
No standing anytime - tow away area between Baildon and Mackenzie Streets. A two minute drop off zone will be established between Mackenzie and Wicklow Streets. No standing any time - tow away area between Wicklow and Holman Streets.
Main Street (city side):
A two minute drop off zone will be established between Mackenzie and Wicklow Streets. No standing any time -tow away between Wicklow and Holman Streets. Vehicles travelling down Main Street permitted to U-turn at the intersection of Holman and Main Streets.
River Terrace and Leopard Street: 4pm - 9.30pm
River Terrace at Main Street and Leopard Street at Vulture Street closed.
No parking any time on both sides and area is a tow away zone.
Service Road below the Kangaroo Point Cliffs at Captain Cook Bridge: all day
Closed all day.
Colchester Street: 6am - 10pm
Closed between Ernest and Vulture Streets.
Cultural Centre Tunnel: 4pm - 11pm
Closed between Melbourne Street and the QPAC car park entrance.
Dock Street: 4pm - 9.30pm
No right turn into Vulture Street, no right turn from Stanley Street.
Ernest Street: 4pm - 9.30pm
Closed between Merivale and Grey Streets. Access permitted for patrons entering South Bank Cineplex and Thiess building. Translink buses accepted. Closed between Cordelia and Merivale Streets inbound only.
Grey Street: all day
No stopping or parking between Vulture and Melbourne Streets (Translink buses accepted).
Grey Street: 4pm - 11pm
Closed between Peel and Melbourne Streets (Translink buses accepted) closed to all traffic between Melbourne and Tribune Streets. Closed to inbound traffic between Tribune and Vulture Streets, open for vehicles exiting South Bank car park via Tribune Street exit.
Hope Street: all day
No parking between Peel Street and Fish Lane. Closed at intersection of Fish Iane, no entry from 4pm - 11pm (Translink buses accepted).
Little Stanley Street: midnight - 3pm
Closed between Glenelg (South Bank car park entrance) and Tribune Streets from midnight Thursday 26 September to 3pm Sunday 29 September.
Melbourne Street: 4pm -11pm
Closed between Merivale Street and Victoria Bridge.
Merivale Street: 4pm - 11pm
No left turn into Melbourne Street.
Stanley Place: 4pm - 11pm
No left turn from Stanley Place (GOMA) into Grey Street (Translínk buses accepted).
Stanley Street: 4pm - 9.30pm
No right turn into Dock or U-turn to Vulture Street.
Tribune Street: 7.15pm - 9.30pm
Closed between Colchester and Grey Streets.
No left turn Leopard Street from 4pm - 9.30pm. No turns from Vulture Street into Grey Street from 4pm - 11pm (Translink buses permitted). Vulture Street is closed for eastbound traffic at the Gladstone Road intersection from 7.15pm - 9.30pm.

QPAC, Queensland Museum and GOMA car parks - after 4pm, entry and exit only via Stanley Place. BCEC car park after entry and exit only via Merivale Street.
Rydges and Mantra Hotels - between 4pm - 7.15pm, N0 ACCESS to Grey Street. access only via Merivale or Cordelia Street to Glenelg Street. NO ACCESS after 7.15pm until 9.30pm.
South Bank Cinemas and Thiess Building - between 4pm - 7.15pm, NO ACCESS to Grey Street, access only via Merivale and Ernest Streets. N0 ACCESS after 7.15pm until 9:30pm.
199 Grey Street and Galleria Apartments between 4pm - 7.15pm, N0 ACCESS to Grey Street, access only via Merivale and Tribune Streets. N0 ACCESS after 7.15pm until 9.30pm.
South Bank car park - Glenelg Street, entry and exit up until 7.15pm. After 7.15pm until 9.30pm only via Tribune Street.
Mt Gravatt Lookout from 3pm - 9pm
Closed to all traffic at Shire Road and Gosford Street (Echidna Magic Restaurant function guests will be granted access).
Mt Coot-Tha Lookout from 4.30pm - 9pm
All traffic to the Mt Coot-Tha Summit must travel counter clockwise along Sir Samuel Griffith Drive under police supervision from 4.30pm.

Spectator vessels on the Brisbane River
In the interest of public safety and in accordance with the Queensland Fireworks Code, the Brisbane River will be closed between Mowbray Park, East Brisbane and Cribb Street, Milton from 5pm until 8.45pm. Two dedicated spectator mooring zones will be established in the Town Reach of the River for a limited number of private vessels who obtained Entry Permit Flags on Wednesday 21 August.
Only Entry Permit Flag holders will be permitted to anchor in mooring zones in the closed area of the River. For more information on Aquatic flags please see our FAQs page.
