A touchingly honest exhibition of a collection of artworks by some of the 9000+ people living on the streets or in isolation in Queensland.
Providing a rare insight into the minds of this amazing group of people, Art from the Margins has been compiled through Wesley Mission’s Servant Network’s work with homeless and isolated Queenslanders. The artwork is beautifully truthful containing a mix of innocent perceptions of the world, to obvious hardship and anger, and comes straight from the heart of the artists involved. Art from the Margins will also feature a debate among Brisbane’s leading artists and arts workers about the issue of whether art belongs in galleries or on the streets. |
