The electrifying Sydney-based string quartet FourPlay is a Spiegeltent favourite. The eclectic band fuse and twist genres as they pluck, strum and tap their way through a daring mix of originals and imaginative covers in decidedly non-classical style. Their repertoire includes covers of diverse artists such as the Beastie Boys, Jeff Buckley, Depeche Mode, Charles Mingus, Radiohead and The Strokes, and their own originals, inspired by a wide array of diverse music such as post-rock, dub, folktronica, gypsy, drum and bass, klezmer, jazz and impro. A FourPlay gig is an affair not to be missed.
