Can I perform at Brisbane Festival?
Brisbane Festival is a curated event and the character of the Festival is dependent on the vision of the Artistic Director. Unfortunately, Brisbane Festival is unable to offer assessment and feedback on unsolicited submissions. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Is there an opportunity to hold a stall at any of the Brisbane Festival events?
Brisbane Festival is a curated event. We do not accept applications for stalls.

Do you have hotel and restaurant recommendations for Brisbane Festival?
Can I bring my own food and drink to Treasury Brisbane Arcadia?
Yes, except for alcoholic beverages. All other beverages must be in cans or plastic bottles.
Can I use my camera or recording device inside the theatre or The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent?
The use of video and audio recording devices are strictly prohibited at all Brisbane Festival shows. Taking photos in The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent is at the discretion of the performing artist and will be communicated to the audience at the start of the performance.
Is The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent an all ages venue?
The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent hosts both all ages and restricted audience performances. Entry will be determined by the nature of each production in the venue.
Are children permitted in Treasury Brisbane Arcadia?
We welcome people of all ages to experience Treasury Brisbane Arcadia. Some ticketed performance are over 18. If this is the case, this requirement will be clearly stated on the event’s webpage.
Are any performances Auslan interpreted?
Brisbane Festival is working with partners to provide Auslan translations of text-based works (where text is central to understanding and appreciating the work). However, Auslan translations will not be provided for circus or physical theatre productions as the stories are largely told though physical movement and staging effects. Can I select my seat when purchasing my ticket for The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent?
The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent have Premium Adult tickets available for purchase which guarantee premium seating close to the stage. Premium seating is managed by our Front of House team, please see them on arrival.
Can I book a booth at The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent?
All seating, including the booths, are general admission at The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent. Booths are not available for reservation, if there is availability on the night they will be accessible to patrons on a first come, best dressed basis. Alternatively, please consider purchasing a Premium Adult ticket. The seats closest to the stage will be reserved by the Front of House team for Premium Adult ticket holders.
Do I have to buy a ticket for my child at The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent?
Children 2 years and under are free; 3 years and older require a ticket.
Can I book for a group?

Where can I collect my ticket?
You can download your tickets by selecting Print @ Home as the delivery option. You may also choose to have your tickets sent via Standard Mail (10-14 days) or collected from the relevant box office at the venue. Please see our Ticket Information page for more information.
I want to cancel/change/refund my ticket.
Once a sale is finalised, there will be no refunds, cancellations or exchanges, except as provided for in the LPA Ticketing Code of Practice for event ticketing. This is advised when purchasing a ticket. Please see our Ticketing Information page for more information.

Brisbane Festival requests PWD patrons attending The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent events approach the Treasury Brisbane Arcadia Box Office on arrival to arrange assistance. All other PWD enquiries should be directed to QTIX via 136 246.
I bought my ticket from a ticket resales site, will it be valid?
Brisbane Festival is unable to verify the validity of tickets that have been purchased via an unauthorised ticket reseller.

What is the date of 2019 Sunsuper Riverfire?
Sunsuper Riverfire will be on Saturday 28 September.
Will Sunsuper Riverfire still be on if it rains?
Yes, Sunsuper Riverfire will still go ahead in the rain. In the event of any delays or cancellations we will make announcements on the event listing, through Twitter and Facebook, and via Channel 9 and Triple M.
How can I hear the playlist for Sunsuper Riverfire?
Tune in to Triple M to hear the playlist. Certain areas through South Bank and Brisbane will have audio set up on the evening.
Will roads be closed for Sunsuper Riverfire 2019?
There will be road, bridge and river closures affecting Brisbane City, South Brisbane, Kangaroo Point and Fortitude Valley areas. There will be more information on the Road, Bridge & Closures page closer to the event.
When are the 2019 ADF Aerial Displays?
Information will be made available on the Sunsuper Riverfire web page closer to the event date.
Can I use a drone during Sunsuper Riverfire?
Due to the increased risk posed by low flying aircraft and fireworks during the event and practice days drones are prohibited to be flown within 1500m of the event venue areas (ie Brisbane City, South Brisbane, Kangaroo Point and Fortitude Valley) at any time, as such flights may pose a significant risk to both the aircraft and people viewing the event on the ground.

Will South Bank be fenced?
South Bank is a popular place for families to watch Sunsuper Riverfire. The venue is fenced for public safety and will be closed if capacity is reached.
Can I take my own drinks or alcohol into South Bank?
South Bank is an alcohol-free zone. Please do not bring glass, alcohol or any liquid in a container that has already been opened including reusable drink bottles. These items will be confiscated by South Bank security staff.
What can’t I bring to South Bank?
Please don’t bring pets, bikes, scooters, drink bottles with broken seals (including water bottles and soft drink), glass, metal cutlery or alcohol to South Bank. Those items will be confiscated by South Bank security staff on arrival. If you’re unsure about whether to bring an item, please contact the South Bank team via firstname.lastname@example.org. Bag checks will commence at 9am.
Can I take my dog to South Bank?
No. Dogs will not be permitted in the parklands for Sunsuper Riverfire. See the pet section below for recommendations on keeping your pets safe at home during the fireworks display.
What should I do with my pet on Sunsuper Riverfire night?
Here are some tips to ensure your animals are safe and secure:
- Contain your animal in your house or garage overnight; ensure there is a comfortable bed, plenty of water and some food.
- It is advisable to close the curtains and turn on the TV or radio to provide some distraction.
- Leave your pet with a friend or family member who is not going out.
- Ensure your pet wears appropriate identification at all times, just in case they do escape.
If your dog becomes distressed during fireworks or thunder, speak to your local veterinarian as they may be able to recommend something to help keep animals calm.

Will there be additional public transport services for Sunsuper Riverfire?
Additional Citytrain and bus services will operate to and from Sunsuper Riverfire. For full information about timetabled services, fares, temporary stops and additional services visit the TransLink website or call 13 12 30. I want to view the Sunsuper Riverfire fireworks display from my boat on the Brisbane River. How can I get permission to do so?
All recreational spectator vessels attending must be registered for an Aquatic Permit and be issued with an Entry Flag in order to gain access to the two dedicated spectator mooring zones. Can I register for accessible viewing?
Brisbane Festival has established an accessible viewing area for Sunsuper Riverfire on River Terrace at Kangaroo Point
This area is reserved for special needs patrons and their carers. Registrations for the accessible viewing area will open closer to the event.
