The Luck Child
"It has a happy ending and a moral to the story which is everyone can be lucky." (Reviewed by Felicity Dayhew, aged 8, in her own words.)
The Luck Child is the story of the luckiest boy in the world, an evil king and a three-headed hound from hell ... well, one head's a cat but it's angry.
It’s full of adventure and laughter and perfect entertainment for kids.
David Collins (The Upside Down Show & Umbilical Brothers) teams up with Jonathan Biggins (The Wharf Review) to create a show that will make every single child believe they are The Luck Child.
Suitable for ages 4 to 12.
Winner, Best Production for Children - Adelaide Fringe Festival 2014
"No kid shall complain about The Luck Child. An end-to-end delight, this fractured take on the classic Russian fairytale is swift, zesty and very funny." (The Herald Sun)
David describes himself as a massively underdeveloped genius; one who doesn’t like the word pungent, and believes luck is a state of mind.
Since graduating from Theatre Nepean and NIDA (Ned Ingelburn’s Drama Academy), David has been embarrassing himself on stage and television throughout the world as one half of The Umbilical Brothers. This has resulted in five theatre shows, and performances from off-Broadway to the middle east.
