Brisbane Festival and Griffith University present

An Evening with Tex, Don and Charlie

The Courier-Mail Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent
16 Sep

Queensland Premiere

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see three Australian rock legends join forces for a special concert.

Tex Perkins (The Cruel Sea, Beasts of Bourbon) and Don Walker (keyboardist and songwriter for Cold Chisel) join Charlie Owens (“Easily the best rock guitar player I’ve seen.” – Tex Perkins) to perform songs from their long-awaited album ‘You Don’t Know Lonely’ – their first in 12 years – along with hits from ‘Sad But True’ (1993) and ‘All Is Forgiven’ (2005).

‘You Don’t Know Lonely’, which features 12 evocative stories in song, was produced by Tex, Don and Charlie and features drummer extraordinaire Charley Drayton, bass master Steve Hadley and pedal steel wiz Garrett Costigan.

As always, their music will ensnare you, rising like the tendrils of a summer vine to envelop you with its layers.
