Siti, a recent convert to Islam, is suddenly tasked with overseeing the funeral arrangements of her close friend and companion. While preparations are being made for the last rites a charming stranger arrives unexpectedly.
Even as Siti grieves, she has to contend with the societal forces that threaten to deny her of her own existence.
With sell-out seasons in 2015 and at the 2016 Singapore Theatre Festival, Hawa dares to ask – in an often surprisingly comic way – all the difficult questions about faith, love and sexuality.
