I JUST CAME TO SAY GOODBYE

13 - 23 Sept | Theatre Republic - The Block

Theatre

The Good Room (AUS)

World Premiere

With Caroline Dunphy, Amy Ingram, Thomas Larkin and Michael Tuahine, this world premiere is from the team that brought you I Want To Know What Love Is (2014) and I Should Have Drunk More Champagne (2013).

Based on anonymous apologies and real stories of forgiveness submitted by your friends and frenemies, Brisbane’s own The Good Room bring you this brand new work - a glitter-fuelled finale event for the wronged and the righteous. Bridges will be burned. Hatchets might be buried. Nobody escapes unscathed.

A wildly theatrical and intimately honest testimony, I JUST CAME TO SAY GOODBYE crashes head-first into the foggy terrain of forgiveness to share hundreds of stories of guilt, grudges, remorse, and revenge.

This production contains adult themes, coarse language, references to suicide, sexual violence and depictions of physical aggression. The performance also uses loud sound effects, a haze machine, smoke machine and strobe effects.
