Tuesdays & Wednesdays: House Acts

Start your week with your mates and show your support for local acts with live music, world class magic acts and stand-up comedy. Just when you thought Brisbane was early to bed on a school night, we're going to keep you up and rocking with several live acts from some of your favourite Brisbane venues. We love our local artists and we've mixed them up with outstanding international entertainers hand-picked form our main stage program.

Throwback Thursdays

It’s retro night, so put on your roller skates, dust off your Walkman and ghetto blast the night away with hits of the ‘80s. Hosted by ImproMafia, a home-grown clown collective that has brought the house down in NYC, Manilla and Beijing, you’ll love the hilarious improvisations and cheeky adult-only parodies. Special guests include indie band Shag Rock and The Chipolatas.

Friday Fun Night

It’s Friday, Friday! Everyone’s gonna get down with Brisbane’s most inappropriate and overzealous tour guides and multi award-winning duo The Foxy Morons as they lead an adventure of songs, skits, sports and satire. Special guests include comedian Jenny Wynter and songstress June Low. TGIF!

Sorority Saturdays

You’ll never be alone in a sorority house. Party with your best friends in the middle of a good time with your sorority house host and self-proclaimed diva Josh RH Daveta as he sings the hit songs of Mariah Carey, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift. Show the frats what you’re made of. Special guests include cabaret star Lizzie Moore acclaimed singer Michael Tuahine, singer/songwriter Jacob Blowes, and Brisbane band Golden Age of Ballooning.

Sunset Sundays

Finish your weekend on a high note with your host, jazz singer Lisa La Celle. A chameleon of the stage, her voice is as colourful and sultry as her stage persona. Soak up the sounds and enjoy the cool vibe as the sun sets and the city lights dance on the river below. Special guests include jazz vocalist Charlotte Mclean, The Voice Australia star Ellen Reed and Western GuGuYelanji songman Troy Jungaji Brady.
