12 - 23 Sept | Theatre Republic - La Boite Studio

Hammond Fleet Productions (AUS)

"★★★★ - Delicious... Shakespeare, Scorsese... a highlight of the season." The West Australian

This is Greg Fleet’s modern take on Macbeth, set in the world of Australian politics.

Paul and Lainey Macbeth are the ultimate power couple: ambitious, ruthless and willing to risk everything for something more.

In an imagined Australia where the republic is approaching like a train, the teflon Macbeth couple switch left and right like heavyweight boxers, moving from local politics and then on – on to perhaps the highest office in the land, ‘killing’ their real and perceived opposition as they go.

Vote 1 – Macbeth.

This production contains adult themes, sexual references, drug uses, and coarse language.
