The Singing Politician

15 Sept | ABC Studio 420

Topology & The Australian Voices (AUS)

"It is simultaneously quite serious, quite moving and absolutely hilarious." James Morrison

The Singing Politician takes the words right out of our Prime Ministers’ mouths –from Menzies’ ‘Declaration of War’ to Whitlam’s ‘Well May We Say’; Abbott’s ‘A Stain on Our Souls’ to Gillard’s ‘Misogyny’ speech –marrying them seamlessly to an overlay of stirring music and choral work.

There might even be a surprise appearance from Donald Trump. Two great Brisbane outfits, Topology and The Australian Voices, bring together powerful vocals and musical brilliance to remake these pivotal speeches as you’ve never heard them before.

Suitable for audiences 16+ years.
