If you’ve ever wanted to ‘dress the Festival’ you can help our designers decorate or assist with site set up. Some volunteers also help with administration.

Our volunteers gain valuable experience in the events industry, contribute to the local and international arts community, make new friends, network with arts professionals and help create and be involved in the exciting Festival atmosphere!

We love our volunteer community and provide discounts, special offers and complimentary tickets as a token of our gratitude.

The specifics

The program is open to people aged 18 – 70 years and suitable for people able to take on shifts of 4 - 5 hours for around 5 days throughout September. Set up volunteers should be available during August.

We encourage people with different abilities, skills and experience to apply.

#Intern at Brisbane Festival

The Brisbane Festival Internship Program aims to provide a unique educational experience for students seeking industry experience and insight into the operations of a large-scale, multi-disciplinary arts festival.

The program provides roles across key areas that are engaging, educational and designed to further an intern’s skill set and professional network, resulting in improved employability.   

The intern program is open to applicants eligible for an industry placement via a tertiary education institute.
