Parking

Queensland Conservatorium at Griffith University is central to all paid parking facilities offered in South Bank.

Brisbane city buses stop at Merivale Street, Grey Street and Melbourne Street.

Accessibility

Venue Access

There are lifts on both the Grey St side of the building as well as the South Bank entrance. We prefer if we have notice for accessible seating in the Conservatorium stalls so we can ensure the patrons have the best possible experience. For wheelchair access and assistance, contact Qld. Conservatorium Events Information Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm on 07 37356241 or QTIX directly on 136 246. Please note that The Conservatorium Theatre has a lot of stairs, so we urge you to share any access requirements in advance.

Parking

There is no parking available at the venue but the closest paid car parks are the QPAC car park and Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Drop Off

On Grey St., between the ABC Building/ Tai Tai restaurant and the Conservatorium , there is a driveway is is next to a lift that will take the patron to Level 2 and the foyer of the Conservatorium Theatre. The distance from the lift to the Level 2 foyer is approx. 95 metres. We also have a loading dock , which is on the corner of Grey St. and Little Stanley St. and will allow 20 minutes standing time. This is approx. 10 minutes from the South Bank lift to the Level 2 foyer.

Accessible Seating

The Conservatorium Theatre has 8 wheelchair seats and 8 accompanying carers seats. Access to the wheelchair spaces mid-way in the stalls are via doors and ramps on Level 1 of the building, For spaces G 2 & 3, entry is via Door 5, for spaces G 21 & 22, entry is via Door 6. For the wheelchair space U2 , entry is via Door 1 in the foyer. All other wheelchair spaces (U 22, Right Gallery 12 & 13) are via Door 2. Notification to book these seats can be found on the Conservatorium events website. The main auditorium is 615 seats and has raked seating to view the stage. The rake begins at Row H. Doors are not automatic and are attended by ushers. Wheelchair seating has ramp accessibility via all doors. The 96 seats in the theatre balcony is not accessible and has stairs to each row. This is only used as a last measure for heavily booked events. The bar is in the Level 2 foyer with no stairs. The accessible seating allocation is located in Row G, seats 2 &3, 22 & 23. Row U 2 & 22. Right Gallery 12 &13.

Accessible Toilets

3 x ambulant toilets with koala seats on each of the 3 Levels of the building- next to the main toilet stalls. There is also a mothers room on Level 1 with a nursing chair, fridge and microwave, next to the student common room.

Quiet Room

There is a quiet space for overstimulated patrons on Level 2, Room 2.63 (just off the main foyer on Level 2)

Low Counter Space

1 metre for the bar. 70 cm for box office counter, We have 30 cm tables for use in the bar area.

Assisted Listening

This is available for all amplified events, Rows K- Q, seats 1-14. For patrons to access this, we ask them to turn their hearing aid to the "T" setting.

Food & Drink

All venues are licensed, however we leave the food and drink option in the theatre to the discretion of each hirer. Diabetics are welcome to eat during a show, regardless.
