Discover the Festival with The Courier-Mail

Breaking news! The Courier-Mail is once again partnering with Brisbane Festival to give you the scoop on the hottest Festival Events.

Back by popular demand, Skylore: Nieergoo: Spirit of the Whale returns to illuminate Brisbane’s skyline. Watch as hundreds of drones soar above the Brisbane River as Traditional Owner Yuggera and Toorabul man Shannon Ruska and Tribal Experiences retell this powerful story of Culture, Country, and connection to place, with original composition by Guy Webster.

As proud co-presenting partner of Skylore — Nieergoo: Spirit of the Whale, The Courier-Mail invites you to take part in a vibrant scavenger hunt for your chance to win exclusive reserved seating at this breathtaking drone show this September.

See Skylore from the comfort of the river’s edge at The Landing, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane — a specially ticketed Brisbane Festival riverside area offering reserved grandstand seating, a licensed bar, and unobstructed views of this breathtaking drone spectacular.

Want to find the code word and win one of 50 double passes to Skylore — Nieergoo: Spirit of the Whale on Friday 26 September, including reserved seating and a welcome drink?

Here are the Festival Locations on the scavenger hunt:

  • Cultural Forecourt, South Bank: Look for The Courier-Mail sign at the Cultural Forecourt — grab the unique word and scan to win!
  • Festival Club at QPAC: Soak up the Festival energy at Festival Club and spot The Courier-Mail sign to uncover another code word.
  • Northside entry to the Neville Bonner Bridge, near The Star Brisbane: Take a stroll and experience the Craig & Karl: Public Art Trail, spot The Courier-Mail sign and grab another piece of the puzzle!

Brisbane Festival expresses deep respect to and acknowledges the First People of this Country.
