Dead Puppet Society: Puppet Construction Workshop

Puppet Construction takes puppetry manipulation skills to the next level by allowing young people to design, craft and build their very own tabletop sized puppet.

Using simple brown paper techniques, participants will follow our process of design prototyping, resulting in the construction of a one-of-a-kind creature. In this workshop, participants will create their own character and be introduced to simple puppet mechanisms as well as briefly explore the principles of puppetry (focus, breath and gravity).
