Zillmere Community Centre: Free Movement Workshops with The Farm

DanceCommunityPhysical TheatreFreeWorkshops
Presented by Brisbane Festival and the Queensland Government via the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety
image-for-flyers-and-collateral

The Farm team will explore and opens the doors to a surprisingly lively look at a topic our Western culture often tiptoes around: death. These workshops invite participants to loosen their grip, get curious, and even laugh while facing what’s usually left unspoken.

Through dance, voice, and music, participants will explore not only mortality but also life’s smaller endings: the versions of ourselves we shed, the dreams we retire, and the chapters we leave behind.

Blending humour, honesty, and physical movement, this is a shared creative space to reflect, play, and connect—an invitation to explore the endings that shape us, and the surprising lightness of letting go.

The Farm will build on the movement workshops each week so it's encouraged to attend all of the sessions (or as many as you possibly can) to get the most out of the experience.
