Adelina Martinez

Adelina is a first generation Australian who combines her Uruguayan heritage, Sydney-via-Brisbane upbringing and love for the American jazz tradition through song.

Award-winning vocalist Adelina Martinez is the recipient of the 2019 Generations in Jazz Vocal Scholarship. She has performed at the invitation of James Morrison AM at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Melbourne Arts Centre and Devonport Jazz Festival (TAS). Adelina is a first generation Australian who combines her Uruguayan heritage, Sydney-via-Brisbane upbringing and love for the American jazz tradition through song. 

She is passionate about community music-making and has delivered outreach concerts across Central Queensland with the Queensland Youth Orchestras Big Band. Adelina has performed pre-show entertainment for the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium and was a cast member of rock cabarets Women In Voice, Women of Woodstock and Killer Queens all at the Brisbane Powerhouse. Future plans include the release of her debut jazz album with ABC Jazz and a national tour.
