Dance Sector Opportunities
Dance Sector Engagement and Professional Development
Across 2 days in September, Brisbane Festival will host professional development with globally renowned contemporary ballet company L.A. Dance Project (LADP). L.A. Dance Project blends contemporary dance, ballet and design to create works of scale, under the Artistic Direction of Benjamin Millepied (Black Swan). With a mission of creating new work and reviving seminal collaborations from influential dance makers, LADP will premiere a landmark Australian exclusive Gems as part of Brisbane Festival 2025.
Planned alongside the premiere season of Gems (6-7 September), the professional development is designed to capture pre-professional and professional dancers to develop technical skills, choreographic praxis, and build QLD Dance sector connections with artists of LADP, inconsideration of Brisbane and LA as future Olympic cities and creative hubs.
