A powerful night of story, song, and cultural legacy.
Experience an intimate evening with the Brady family; a lineage of First Nations artists whose creative practices are rooted in Culture, Country, and Connection.
Bringing together respected Elder Graham Brady and his nephew Jungaji, this intimate live event spans generations of cultural knowledge and creative expression. Through music, storytelling and conversation, they share the lived experiences, histories and relationships that continue to shape their artistry.
A senior Custodian of Western Gu Gu Yalanji culture from Cape York, Graham Brady has dedicated over five decades to the maintenance, teaching and revitalisation of cultural knowledge. A master artefact maker, songman, dancer, choreographer and storyteller, his work reflects a lifetime of cultural leadership and artistic excellence, grounded in the wisdom passed down through his ancestors.
Carrying this legacy forward, Jungaji is a songwriter, visual artist and storyteller whose work bridges ancient songlines with contemporary sound. Blending soul and R&B with deep cultural knowledge, his music speaks to identity, resilience and connection. His award-winning debut album Betting On Blak marks him as a leading voice in a new generation of First Nations artists.
Together, the Brady family offers a rare and moving insight into the passing of knowledge across generations, from Uncle to nephew. This is a story of legacy in motion: where Culture is lived, shared, and carried forward through music, memory, and kinship.
