Brisbane Festival is all about bringing people together through amazing art and free, community-focused events. Many performances featured in this year’s program have been created by fabulously talented artists who call Brisbane home. By locals, for locals!
There’s opera fused with country music, a fan-favourite dance-off to decide which suburbs rule the grooves, a drop-in classical music extravaganza, and for the first time local skaters join performers on stage for a roller derby riot of reinvention! With the support of partners like 612 ABC Brisbane, the Festival is particularly proud to be able to present a wide array of family-friendly and cultural events you can attend for free. From afternoons enjoying the sounds of local musicians and sampling delicious foods from around the world, through to performances and light shows under the stars, we invite you to come out and experience Brisbane’s creative side.
