Congratulations to the 2020-21 Matilda Awards nominees

Brisbane Festival congratulates this year’s Matilda Awards nominees.

Realising the dreams of local artists and helping them to deliver them to the stage is a critical part of the work we do at Brisbane Festival and we are delighted to have had the opportunity to commission a number of the works nominated - from Casus Circus’ Auntie’s Fiafia Night to Polytoxic’s DEMOLITION and Dead Puppet Society’s Ishmael, along with works from many other artists and creatives.

We are proud that over the past two Festivals we have created 45 new works and engaged 2102 local artists and are looking forward to continuing to showcase the vast array of Brisbane and Queensland artistic talent in this year’s Festival.

Best wishes to all of this year’s Matilda Awards nominees.
