#Getting There

Parking

The most convenient parking option for visitors to QPAC is the Performing Arts Car Park (P1), located as part of the Cultural Centre car parks, accessible via Stanley Place.
Parking availability can be limited during peak times, so it is advisable to arrive early or consider pre‑paid parking.

Public Transport

The Concert Hall is located within QPAC and is easily accessible from South Brisbane Station and Cultural Forecourt. Plan your public transport journey using the Translink Journey Planner.

Ride Your Bike

#Accessibility

Venue Access

The main lift from Russell Street to access the Playhouse is on the riverside. Refer to your ticket for the door number: Level 2 for doors 1-2, Level 3 for others. Expect stairs unless you booked wheelchair accessible seating. Access from the Performing Arts Car Park opens an hour before the show. Contact 136 246 for mobility concerns.

Parking

Parking options include the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre Parking, and the South Bank Parklands Car Park, both are a short walk from QPAC. These options provide convenient parking for the Playhouse.

Southbank Parklands Car Park
Designated accessible parking bays are available in all three of our car parks. They are located close to the car park lifts and enable access to the Exhibition Concourse and Merivale Street Foyer.
Car Park 1: 4 designated spaces
Car Park 2: 13 designated spaces
Car Park 3: 12 designated spaces

Drop Off Locations

The Russell St drop off zones are currently under traffic control and will allow access for vehicles to drop off patrons with accessibilities needs. An alternate drop off zone close to Russell St (with pedestrian access to the Playhouse) is in place on Grey St opposite the ABC Building near Olio Café at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Those with specific access needs may be provided with access dependent on construction activities.

Please be aware that the set-down areas have limited capacity, and we recommend you allow sufficient time for possible delays.

After dropping off in these zones, parking is then available in all car parks close to QPAC. Parking for people with mobility difficulties is available in all car parks.

Accessible Seating

The QPAC Playhouse has allocated seating with accessible seating available on request.

Patrons are encouraged to notify staff at the time of booking if accessibility requests are required. Bookings for wheelchair seating can be made in person at the Box Office or by calling 136 246. To enquire please send an email to info@qtix.com.au.

Two lifts provide access to the Playhouse foyers from Russell Street. Check your ticket for your door number and go to Level 2 for doors 1-2, or Level 3 for all other doors. Unless you have specifically booked wheelchair accessible seating, there may be some stairs involved during your visit. Call 136 246 if you have any mobility concerns.

Assisted Listening

All theatres are equipped with Sennheiser Infra-Red Sound Reinforcement. This system can assist patrons with all levels of hearing impairment including hearing aids. The Sennheiser equipment can be obtained, free of charge, from any cloakroom.

Please notify QPAC when making a booking on 136 246 or by calling the Venue Reception before you arrive on (07) 3840 7400 and a Front of House staff member will ensure the system is ready for you to collect when you arrive.

Accessible Toilets & Baby Change

Wheelchair accessible toilets are on Level G and 2. There is also baby change facility on Level G.

Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs

QPAC welcomes patrons accompanied by guide, hearing, or assistance dogs. Staff are trained to meet the needs of support dogs and their handlers. Please notify the Box Office by calling 136 246 at the time of your booking if you plan to visit QPAC with your support dog.

Food & Drink

The closest dining option for the Playhouse is the Russell Street Wine Bar, located on Level G, directly below the Playhouse stalls foyer. The foyer bar is located on the Stalls level (Level 2 in the lift). The foyer bar sells antipasto plates and there are vending machines for chocolates and other items. An additional bar is located on the balcony level (Level 3).

If you have special seating requirements (e.g.: wheelchair access, hearing difficulties, need an aisle seat or larger seat) or if you are accompanied by a guide, hearing or assistance dog please call QTIX on 136 246 to make your booking.

QPAC is an affiliate of the Queensland Government's Companion Card program. As an affiliate of the Companion Card program, QPAC provides Companion Card holders with a second ticket for their chosen companion at no cost. Access to the Companion Card program is only available to Companion Card holders when booking tickets in person or calling the Box Office on 136 246.
