International art and design duo Craig Redman and Karl Maier came of age in 1980s Australia, immersed in a world of bold, bright, and unapologetically lurid colour.

It was an era that sparked a lifelong fascination with colour, which continues to define their work today. Their creative bond began at Brisbane’s Queensland College of Art and Design, Griffith University — currently celebrating its 50th anniversary — where their complementary perspectives and distinctive personalities naturally evolved into a dynamic collaboration.

Now based in New York and London, Craig & Karl have exhibited globally, known for their vibrant, multidisciplinary works — from a striking New York Magazine cover featuring Barack Obama to a sculpture honouring film director Michelangelo Antonioni. Their unmistakable aesthetic has attracted collaborations with leading global brands including Nike, Apple, Google, Vogue, and LVMH.

In 2025, the iconic duo return to Brisbane to unveil their most ambitious project yet — set to transform the city with their signature pop art sensibility and riot of vivid colour
