Created by inclusive theatre company indelabilityarts, Wilbur the Optical Whale is a fully immersive, interactive and accessible story for children about friendship and celebrating difference.

Using alternative storytelling methods, including interactive media with integrated Auslan, circus, music, movement and spoken word, this heartwarming production delivers a strong anti-bullying message and promotes acceptance.

All performances are relaxed allowing audiences to engage with the work on their own terms in a calm and inviting ‘underwater’ setting.

#Underwater Sea-Squad Workshop

Create underwater sea creatures to be featured in the show!

All ticket-holders are invited to a FREE Underwater Sea-Squad Workshop prior to the show. 

Children will create an underwater sea creature using a variety of visual art methods, textures and colours while exploring themes of kindness, empathy and celebrating difference. 

These artworks will be photographed and incorporated into the performance, bringing children into the creation of Wilbur the Optical Whale's magical underwater world.

Workshop 1 | 11am on Tue 21 Sept. 

Artwork created in Workshop 1 will be included in the performances on Wed 22 Sept and Thu 23 Sept.

Workshop 2 | 2:30pm on Thu 23 Sep. 

Artwork created in Workshop 2 will be included in the performances on Fri 24 Sept and Sat 25 Sept.
