Fashion Collab

Fashion Collab

Brisbane's newest, fabulous-sabotaged-glamour emergent experiment in fashion collaboration {breathe} installation

Fashion Collab is a community arts program developed in partnership with local Neighbourhood Centres and community organisations which invites the audience to understand the ways in which the fabric, the hair styles, the face masks, the costumes and the clothes we adorn our bodies with express who we are and how we want to celebrate ourselves.

A static and moving installation of wildly experimental wearable art and adaptive fashion, the combined intersections of fashion, function and fun places this Fashion Collab at the forefront of innovation and self-expression.

The creative workshop process has been led by a group of artists, including Ehud Joseph, Soraya del Castillo, Dr. Lenine Bourke, Annika Strand, Sophiaan Subhan, and Kristy Power, with thanks to Stitchery Collective and The Foundry, QUT Kelvin Grove Library.

Part fashion show, part exhibition, part installation and 100% creative genius, head down to the Tivoli prior to Bowerytopia to check out the artworks and meet the artists.

This event is a celebration of the intersection of the LGBTIQAX+ and neurodivergent communities and their allies.

To attend a workshop, please register with Ehud Joseph by email or phone.

Workshops are located at The Foundry, QUT, Kelvin Grove, R Block.
