Katie Noonan's Elixir, Michael Leunig and Camerata (AUS)

Multi-platinum-selling and five-time ARIA Award-winning singer/songwriter Katie Noonan returns to Brisbane Festival with Australia’s ‘poet laureate’ Michael Leunig and her ARIA Award-winning jazz trio Elixir, featuring Zac Hurren and Stephen Magnusson. Katie, Michael and the band are joined by Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra – under the baton of Iain Grandage.

The concert features the new ‘Gratitude and Grief’ collaboration between Elixir and Leunig, showcasing a unique combination of spoken-word poetry, angelic vocals, sublime improvisation, and live drawing by Leunig himself.

With some of Elixir’s previous catalogue and a few of their favourite songs by other artists being performed, this promises to be a truly special evening.
